CONTACT THE NEAR NORTH MONTESSORI CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

For a Generation of Parents, Alumni and Friends, This Is

THE MOMENT

Several times in the history of our school, parents and supporters have joined together to

propel Near North Montessori into the future: with its Founding, with the Purchase of Our Building, and again with the
creation and initial funding of The Endowment. Today, we find ourselves halfway through a project that is transforming
our school, our community and our children, once again. Today it is our turn. Today it is our time.
Thank you to all of those who have pledged their support to the Campaign.

We Can do this together, with EACH particpating according to their means. We can do this

With Each and EVERY ONE Participating

We’re already seeing the benefits of the first phase of the transformation - the school is an undeniably better place than
it was a year ago. We are not done yet and we need each and every family, alumni & friend to help us finish the work.

Please contact the Campaign Representative for your class today.

* THE LATEST NEWS from NNM and THE CAMPAIGN *

NNM CHILDREN'S GARDEN: Check out the video on NNM Children's Garden on YouTube. There are also some great sketches that we received from our designer, Rusty Keeler. Take a look at the aerial view, the 3-D view and the Garden Narrative. By Audrey Perrott Posted 01.05

$4.1 MILLION RAISED: The Near North Montessori School Capital Campaign has raised more than $4.1 million in cash and written pledges toward our monetary goal of $4.5 million. Our parent participation goal is to have full parent participation and so far, 50% of our parents have given to the Campaign. If you would like more information on how you can participate, please contact your class rep. By Allison Heyboer Posted 01.03

CHILDREN'S GARDEN: On June 20th, Rusty Keeler, world renowned playscape designer, came to visit NNM to discuss a plan for our own Children's Garden with teachers, staff and parents. The Children's Garden will be an outdoor environment created to stimulate children's sense of wonder with the natural world. The NNMS Children's Garden will be funded entirely by the revenue raised from the Capital Campaign. For more information please visit Rusty Keeler's website, www.earthplay.net. * OUR COMMUNITY is STRONG BUT THINK of WHAT IT CAN BE WHEN WE HAVE a PLACE *

Where WE CAN ALL BE TOGETHER

The next phase of the transformation of our school is ambitious and absolutely necessary. If you’ve ever attended a
Wildcats’ basketball game in what passes for our home court, at Pulaski Park, or if your child’s class was not a part
of a special arts or educational assembly, you know that our school is sorely in need of a large community space.

And not just for practical reasons, but also so that we can extend what we love about our classes, the interaction of
of different age groups and different perspectives. Simple gatherings of the ENTIRE COMMUNITY can go a long
way to support the idea that we learn best for ourselves when we all learn from each other.

Thank You
